Who is Provident?
We provide loans up to €600 to new customers which can be used to pay for all kinds of things – everything from repairing broken down appliances, doing a few small home improvements or getting their car fixed.
What is home credit?
Provident loans are often called ‘home credit’ or ‘doorstep loans’ as the loan is brought right to your home. There is a network of self-employed Agents who work across Ireland and deliver the service right to your door so there is no need to visit a bank or queue up in an office.
If accepted for a loan, the Agent will agree a day and time each week when they will collect your repayment. If you ever need to change this, your Agent can be flexible and will help ensure that you stay on track with repayments. You’ll never be charged any late fees. The amount you agree upfront is the amount you will pay in total.
What is the application process?
To apply for a Provident loan fill in the initial online application form or call us on 1800 553 083. If accepted in principle your details will be sent to a local Agent who will come to your home to discuss your application further.
Before your loan is accepted you will need to provide a Proof of ID and proof of address such as a current photo card driving licence. If you do not have a driving licence, you can find out the other types of ID we accept here.
Your Agent will also need to see proof of your income such as a wage slip or evidence of welfare payments. This allows us to check that you can afford the loan. The Agent won’t be able to complete your loan application without it.
