A friendly service

With Provident, an Agent will discuss your loan options with you. They'll assess your income and outgoings as part of an affordability assessment and complete the application. This would normally be done in your home but could be over the phone if your Agent can't visit whilst the government Covid-19 restrictions are in place.

Learn more about Agents here.

Proof of ID, address and income

As part of the application you'll be asked to provide proof of your ID and address. You'll also be asked for documentation that will confirm your income to ensure the loan is suitable, affordable and sustainable for you.

See the full list of documents here.

You'll need to show these documents to your Agent. They will not be able to approve the loan without this.

Why Provident?

Provident is the largest money lender in Ireland, but we're not a bank. As long as you are aged 18-74 and a resident of Ireland, you can apply for a Provident loan. You don’t need to be a member, receive particular benefits or be part of any saving schemes. We look at each person’s individual circumstances and assess your income and outgoings to see whether a Provident loan makes sense for you.

A friendly Agent will discuss and assess your loan at a time and on a day that suits you both.
